Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

As soon as I ordered my slow cooker (thanks to expiring Asia Miles), I started looking at recipes that I could make. Immediately, pulled pork came to mind. I’ve made pulled pork once before, a long time ago – using a normal oven at a low temperature for 10 hours. It was painful.

I also wanted to find a Weight Watcher-friendly recipe for the pulled pork, and thanks to Pinterest and the internet I managed to find one! The recipe, thanks to SkinnyTaste, gave me the perfect recipe. A serving of the pulled pork is 6 SmartPoints, which is great for such delicious meat and BBQ sauce.

I also made the homemade BBQ sauce, another recipe from SkinnyTaste, which tastes amazing and enhances the pulled pork so much. So, seeing as I borrowed the recipe from SkinnyTaste, I will just lead you to the BBQ sauce recipe and the pulled pork recipe.

I also have to say that I am in love with my Breville Multi Chef. While I would normally have just only gone for a basic slow cooker, because I had the option of buying the Multi Chef with my airmiles, I figured – why not?

It has rice and steam functions, a risotto function, a saute and sear function, as well as high and low slow cooking. I’m going to try so many different recipes, even desserts.

I’m sorry for the short post, I just really wanted to get this recipe and post up with the pulled pork. It tastes great in a soft bread roll, in a wrap, with sweet potato and vegetables.

And yes, some times pulled pork is over-done and used in everything, but I love it and I’m not ashamed of that. So, enjoy everyone!
